Yamandú Costa has been played on NTS shows including The Early Bird Show w/ Spirit Blue, with No Rancho Fundo first played on 14 June 2021.

Yamandú Costa is an acoustic guitar player born 1980 in Passo Fundo, a city in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. His guitar studies began when he was 7, tutored by his father, Algacir Costa, leader of the "Fronteiriços", a regional band. Later he sought to perfect his technique with Argentine virtuoso Lucio Yanel, who had at the time set his home in Brazil.

With his striking blend of regional music styles and notably energetic performances, he is touted by many as one of the greatest guitarists specialized in Brazilian music.

Yamandú plays 7-string guitar and is also a composer and arranger. In his performances, he is noted to showcase strong improvisational skills and fiery charisma.

His first name means "the precursor of the waters of the world" in Tupi-Guarani, a language spoken by native Brazilians before the arrival of the Portuguese settlers.
