Born in Tokyo, raised in Brazil, and educated in French schools, but it was in London that Noriko Sekiguchi, also known as POiSON GiRL FRiEND first found the music that would inspire her own work. She became infatuated with the UK and US house music that was filling the city in the mid to late 1980s, before returning to Tokyo, bringing the music with her to the city's clubs as a DJ. Releasing multiple albums, the POiSON GiRLFRiEND project – featuring a house and breakbeat-infused pop and R&B sound – reached minor commercial and critical acclaim. Sekiguchi's solo music along with her work in obscure group Kiss-O-Matic has experienced a small revival following some Japanese music fanatics exploration of 90s CD releases.

Francis Hime

Francis Hime has been played on NTS shows including High Noon w/ Dina J , with Anoiteceu first played on 20 February 2021.

Francis Hime (b. 31 Aug 1939, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), started playing and studying piano when he was only six years old, forced by his mother. Despite his initial protests, his hobby became a pleasure. He made his way as a good songwriter and pop arranger.

He wrote Sinfonia no. 1, Carnavais para Coro Misto e Orquestra, Fantasia para Piano e Orquestra, Sinfonia do Rio de Janeiro de São Sebastião, and later released Ópera do Futebol.

Married to Olivia Hime and father to three daughters, Francis lived in LA in the 70s, where took courses with great names of movie scores, like Hugo Friedhofer, David Raksin, Lalo Schiffrin and, by suggestion from the latter, he learned composition with Paul Glass. He composed the soundtracks for many movies, such as Dona Flor e Seus Dois Maridos (by Bruno Barreto), Lição de Amor (directed by Eduardo Escorel (both of which earned him the Coruja de Ouro and Kikito awards), A Noiva da Cidade (by Alex Vianny), among others. As one of the great names of the Brazilian music, Francis worked alongside Elis Regina, Milton Nascimento, Roberto Carlos, Tony Bennett and Bill Evans.
