Peta Webb (born in Woodford Green, Essex, on 23 August 1946) is a British folk singer known for her ballad singing as well as her workings of Appalachian and women’s songs. As well as solo recordings, she has recorded as Alison McMorland & Peta Webb and Peta Webb and Pete Cooper, and been a member of English folk band Oak and Sisters Unlimited.

Webb started out by performing at the Oxford University Heritage Folk Club from 1964-67. In the early 70s, from 1970-73, she was lead and harmony vocals with English folk band Oak. She has also sung with a jazz group, the Alan Ward Band, and played English dance band fiddle with Webb's Wonders from 1972 to 1981.

In 1973 Webb recorded her debut album "I Have Wandered In Exile" for Topic Records, and later worked in duos with John Harrison (formerly of the Watersons), fiddle player Pete Cooper and Alison McMorland. The duo Alison McMorland & Peta Webb was voted among the UK Top 10 folk albums of 1980 in the music paper Melody Maker.

In the 90s Webb joined Sisters Unlimited, an a cappella women's group featuring Janet Russell, Sandra Kerr, and Rosie Davis. Her other involvements have included bluegrass and country with Alan Ward’s Armadillos, new country with the Crazy Hearts, and old time and bluegrass with the Marx Brothers and Rosa.
