Rico Recklezz, born as Ronnie Ramsey around 1992, is an American rapper from the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. He grew up listening to artists like Bump J, Eazy-E, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Waka Flocka Flame, and Yo Gotti, which significantly influenced his musical style. Unfortunately, he joined a local gang at the age of 10, shaping both his youth and music career.

In November 2016, Rico Recklezz released the song "No Talking," a diss track aimed at Soulja Boy, using the same beat as "Crank That (Soulja Boy)." This move sparked controversy, as Soulja Boy allegedly offered $100,000 for his elimination after Rico defended Lil Yachty. In December of the same year, he collaborated with Ewol Samo to release the mixtape Get It in Blood.

In December 2017, Rico released a 15-track mixtape titled Big Recklezz, which included collaborations with rapper C-Row. In February 2018, he presented a remix of 6ix9ine's "Gummo" and expressed his desire to be part of the 2018 XXL Freshman Class.

In 2020, Rico Recklezz was arrested for firearm possession and sentenced to three years in prison at the Stateville Correctional Center. He was released in February 2024.
