Lean Logic released their sixth single Living Beings Pt.1 on the 14th May 2021. After a string of singles including an impromptu cover of Peter Gabriel's Solsbury Hill, the debut album "The Last Mirage" will drop 28th May 2021 on O Genesis Recordings. The band will take part in a Tim's Twitter Listening Party for the album on Tuesday 1st June at 9pm (BST).
The Metronomy remix of Living Beings Pt.2 was released as a single in its own right on the 30th April, following the original version's release on the 5th April. Following the cover of Solsbury Hill, Mother Machine was the follow up proper to Safe In A Dream, released 25th September on O Genesis Recordings.
The project is a collaboration between Nick Carlisle (Peepholes/Bamboo/Katy And Nick) and Rose Keeler-Schäffeler (Keel Her) which began last year with Rose offering to remix a Bamboo track, and ended with a completely new project and an album of original songs written with Nick, and recorded during lockdown.
The pairing takes its “Lean Logic” name from cultural historian and environmentalist David Fleming’s handbook for the future, which also informs many of the lyrical themes on the forthcoming album “The Last Mirage”. Other sources of inspiration include dreams and the supernatural, mental health, selfish capitalism, philosophy, and the books of Noah Yuval Harari & Erich Fromm.
