The Attraction

The Attraction

The Attraction has been played on NTS shows including NTS Guide to…, with She's A Girl first played on 28 August 2021.

There are at least five bands called The Attraction.

The Attraction from Phoenix, AZ, United States is a five-piece alternative rock band. Their origins can be traced to the early side project of front-woman Lindsey Vogt, The Taro Sound. Vogt recorded two songs while operating under that moniker. One song, 'Change of Mind', was later declared a song by The Attraction early after their formation in Spring 2009.

The band focused much of 2009 towards writing and recording. In 2010, the band performed many shows at the venue The Clubhouse and also devoted much time in preparation for releasing their then soon-to-be-released EP, 'The Sleepless'. Before releasing their EP, vocalist Lindsey Vogt was replaced with newcomer Dara McLean Korn. The announcement was made a month before the EP's release. Due to financial and time constraints, the band did not re-record vocals with Dara for the EP. However, Dara fronted the band for the CD release show on May 28th, 2011 at the Martini Ranch in Scottsdale, AZ.

The Attraction was a mod / beat group from 1960s London, United Kingdom, fronted by lead singer and harmonica player, Pete Harper. Hailing from the area of Romford they were initially called Scrooge & The Misers, but changed their name in 1965, with Harper becoming known professionally as Dean Maverick. They released just two singles under their new identity: 'Stupid Girl' (a Stones cover) and 'Party Line' (a Kinks cover). The B-sides of these singles were original compositions, with 'She's a Girl' having become the best known one: it is the by far most scrobbled track by the various 'Attractions' listed here.

The Attraction from Chicago, IL, United States is a five-piece rock band. Their début album is entitled, 'You Leave Us No Choice'.

The Attraction from Orange County, CA, United States was a four-piece rock band. They disbanded in early 2010 after the death of their frontman, Lance Faulk. They were active from 2003-2010.

The Attraction from Pretoria, South Africa was formed in Pretoria in 1968. The group initially featured Neil Herbert on vocals, later replaced by Lee Chadwick. The group had a small hit in 1970 with 'Scooby Dooby Dum Dum Day'.
